UNDERARM WAX: 10 MINS DEPENDING ON STATE OF HAIRS.

This treatment is usually quick, Depending on the condition the hairs.

This all falls under, If you have been shaving for a number of weeks, months or years.

or have never had an underarm wax before.

Shaved or untouched hairs will usually grow in 3 or more directions & is thick/coarse, even super spiky and the root of the hairs under the skin are very strong and anchored.

 

PRIOR UNDERARM WAX:

• Hair should be 1cm - 2cm in length to get maximum results.
• Don't shave 2 weeks prior to your wax.
• Showed or a clean surface area without any creams or deodorants on the skin.
• Use a loofah or exfoliating glove before & few days after your wax treatment to help reduce ingrown's.

 

PROTOCOL:

• Using the best Hot Wax on the market that is gentle but affective to remove the most stubborn or hairs.
• Staff will prep the skin, Then apply a good layer of hot wax to the areas. Let set and peel away quickly for relatively painless hair removal.
• Therapist will analyse the progress and proceed with extra wax or tweezer the few left over hairs that may be too short or too stubborn for an even and smooth finish. 
• Regular visits will insure hair growth will grow in the 1 direction and thickness of the hair reduced by 50% and feel less spiky.
• Staff will provide and /or apply moisturiser or soothing Aloe Vera gel to sooth & hydrate skin after your waxing treatment. 

 

TECHNICIANS TIPS:

• Do not participate in any activity which may cause perspiration for at least 12 hours after the waxing treatment.
• Avoid exfoliating skin with any oil based products prior to waxing Such as coconut scrubs, as it leaves a translucent film on the skin which will will create a barrier between wax and skin.
• To insure minimal irritation for our clients, We recommend to rise body under cold water to close up any open pores due to removing hair follicles from the roots straight after leaving the salon and apply moisturiser/ soothing gels & sunscreen.
• Do no exfoliate underarms straight after waxing, wait for 3day after, to insure that skin naturally settles down.
• A good quality SPF is highly recommend to be applied to skin to insure good safety practice.

 

Here are a couple of helpful tips for first timers to waxing.

• Please be showered and clean before coming into the salon

Just a side note, if it is your first time or you haven't waxed in a while, there is no need to clipper or trim the hairs. We'll work out if it needs trimming or not. This way there is no risk of you nicking yourself or cutting the hair too short.
